Johnston

Johnston is a town located in Providence County, Rhode Island. It is located about 10 miles southwest of Providence. The town was named after colonial attorney general and Rhode Island governor, Stephen Hopkins. The population of Johnston was 28,769 as of the 2010 census. The town is home to a variety of parks, including Johnston Memorial Park and the Johnston Wildlife Refuge, as well as numerous restaurants and shops. The town is also home to several golf courses. Johnston is also known for its annual Strawberry Festival, which is held every year in June.
