Glocester is a town located in the western part of Providence County in the state of Rhode Island. It is bordered by the towns of Burrillville, Smithfield, and North Smithfield. The population of Glocester was 9,741 at the 2010 census. The town is home to numerous recreational facilities and parks, including the George Washington Management Area, a large wildlife management area managed by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management. Glocester is also home to a variety of historic sites, including the Chepachet Historic District, which includes the Glocester Town Hall, the Chepachet Baptist Church, and the Glocester Free Library.
